Scope of the Practice
The practice offers multiple services including simple and complex extractions (including impacted wisdom teeth), surgically aided eruption techniques, cancer screening and biopsies, maxillofacial surgery and jaw reconstruction, bone and soft tissue grafting, and the use of I.V. sedation and general anesthesia.
Dental Implant Reconstruction
The doctors have been actively involved in researching and placing dental implants for more than two decades. During this time, they have provided tooth replacement with dental implant treatment for thousands of patients and their practice has become one of the premier dental implant practices in Southern California. The doctors are members of the Academy of Osseointegration, a professional organization dedicated to advanced education and research on dental implant procedures.
As part of their commitment to advanced continuing education, the doctors founded a dental implant study club in the late 1980’s, which invites nationally and internationally renowned experts in implant dentistry to share the latest advances in the field with the local dental community.
Available advanced techniques include immediate
implants, platelet rich plasma, osseodistraction and sinus
augmentation surgery.
Digital Radiography
We have a digital x-ray system that allows us to process all of our x-rays, including panoramic and facial films digitally. This process has many benefits, including:
- A decrease in radiation exposure up to 90%
- No chemicals used for developing or processing film (environmentally friendly)
- Faster processing
- The ability to manipulate the digital image, making it lighter, darker, bigger, or colorized… (less need to retake x-rays)
- The ability to make digital measurements for greater accuracy in interpretation
- An enhanced ability to archive, retrieve, copy and transmit images
- The ability to interact with other digital images, including 3-dimensional CAT-scans
Special Services – Dental Implants
Implant Coordinator
As one of the largest dental implant practices in the country, our staff includes highly skilled, experienced surgical assistants, as well as a dedicated Implant Coordinator. The implant coordinator works exclusively with implant patients, educating them about implant treatment, coordinating appointments throughout the entire treatment sequence and answering any questions that may arise. The coordinator is a direct liaison between our office and the referring dentist's office.
Resource Center
Over the past 20 years, the doctors have collected information on numerous dental implant systems and techniques including promotional materials, procedural manuals, journal articles, video tapes, CD-ROM’s, clinical slides and digital video. All of this information is available to patients and their dentists in our consultation/resource center.
